is a project consisting of three performative videos, a range of different installation set-ups, and a mail-out component. The project was created within and in response to lock-downs during the COVID-19 pandemic, responding to ideas of the public-private body, familial and community connections, and normative gender roles.
Permeasphere was first exhibited in the 2021 pop-up exhibition ‘Wish You Were Here’ at Tallawoladah (The Rocks), alongside Manfred Hubmann and Paula McCambridge, and included both an online exhibition and mail-out component.
The project was then exhibited in a new format at Bondi Pavilion Gallery in the 2022 exhibition ‘The New Normal’ alongside fellow and subsequent Waverley Studios Artist in Residents, Julia Gutman, Tina Havelock Stevens, Sarah Contos and Caroline Craig, among others.
The Permeasphere videos were filmed and colour graded by artist Kuba Dorabialski, with funding provided by Waverley Council Small Grants Program.
